An Alpha-name is a short identifier for the sender (3-11 Latin characters) that appears on recipients' mobile devices instead of the sender's number when receiving SMS messages. Most often, an Alpha-name represents the name of a company or brand.
Alpha name can be written only in Latin. In addition, you can add symbols: “-”, “ .”, “ _”.
Submit an application for registration of the Alpha name in your personal account StartSend.ru by following the link. Then send a copy of one of the following documents for confirmation:
1. Certificate of ownership of a trademark/trademark.
2. Certificate of ownership of the website domain.
3. Any documented right to use the sender's name by this legal entity.
Applications for Alpha-name registration are submitted to mobile operators every Monday. Registration takes about 5 business days.
A company can have several registered Alpha-names.
The text of a single SMS can contain 160 Latin characters or 70 Cyrillic characters. If the SMS message exceeds the specified length, it is split into parts (segments), and each segment is charged as a separate message. You can find out more here.
The maximum number of parts in one SMS can be 10. However, we recommend limiting it to 3-4 parts - this will improve the perception of the text by the recipient and help avoid delivery issues.
